Malvina Language and Creativity Centre has long tradition in the organization and conducting of summer camps based on original authors programmes. Our offer for Summer Holidays 2023 is a boutique practical English language summer camp for teenagers aged 13-15.
Why is the camp called “practical”?
During the camp the teenagers will have the opportunity to use English for live communication in real time during doing real-life practical activities. For example: cooking, sewing, decorating and other creative activities alongside the language programme.
Why is the camp called “boutique”?
✅ Firstly we work with a small group of children up to 20.
✅ Secondly the programme is of an author, specially created for this camp and includes educational ideas that are not offered by others.
✅ And last but not least, the quality of the educational service is of high value.
English language knowledge
In order to participate adequately and gain maximum benefits from the camp activities the participants are required to have knowledge in English at least at level B1.
“Skills for Life” Camp Programme
The aim of the language holidays is well-known, what is different here is the particular approach and the original programme that we offer.
Language part: The language activities will be related to real life situations like travelling, shopping, ordering food in restaurants and dealing with health issues. All the activities will be in the form of simulations and the teenagers will have the opportunity to work in pairs or small groups.
Practical part: Within five days the teenagers will actively participate in various practical activities connected with developing real life coping skills. In this context English is going to be the language of communication and therefore we require knowledge in English at
least at level B1. One of the main topics will be the food preparation partucalrly-vegetarian dishes. The participants will work in teams and will learn to cook basic soups, main courses and deserts. They will learn how to combine the products, howto decorate the dishes and how as well as healthy eating. Another topic is learning about herbs and plants. In these regards the participants will plant some seeds, which will be taken home and they will take care of it watch it grow.
The rest of the topics are connected with getting to know some more handicrafts and encourage participants creative skills. The variety of our camp topics aims to present the routine activities in a pleasant and attractive way, in order to motivate the grown-up children to cope on their own. In the five-day- camp period the young people will learn to cook on their own, to make an item, to plant seeds and many other useful activities. While communicating in English with peers and enjoying the pleasant atmosphere. In the end of the camp they will be enriched with new language and practical knowledge, which can be demonstrated proudly at home. In the afternoon there will be hiking in the nearby vicinity, swimming in a pool and chatting up. The evening programme is consisted of five theme nights. The topics will be given in advance in order to be prepared.

• The camp is held from August 3 rd until August the 8 th 2023 in “Raya” Guest House in Tsigov Chark resort situated in the beautiful Rhodopes mountain. • The camp menu will be made in advance with active participation of the camp participants. The details will be announced shortly.
• In addition we would like to point out that use of smart phones and other digital devices for games will not be tolerated during the camp. We will encourage live communication, getting to know each other and making new friends.
• We would like to encourage children from different nationalities to join our camp and experience the unique atmosphere.
